A About a week ago my husband was driving home and found a Catahoula puppy. He figured she was just emaciated and went to grab her as it was cold. He saw her neck and brought her home immediately. Having gotten his first best check ever. We opted to take on the job of fixing her. We took her to the vet with a very severe open neck wound from what looks like not an embedded collar but a dog who had been tied out and kept thrashing to get loose. We could see two trachea and it's nasty. They opted to not close the wound because of how messy and jagged it was.
